About the Press

An Independent Press for
Honest, Necessary Books

Eshom Cabin Press publishes carefully made books from authors with strong voices, real purpose, and stories worth keeping.

The Press

Why We Exist

Eshom Cabin Press was established in 2026 with a straightforward belief: important books deserve serious publishing attention, even when they do not fit neatly into a commercial category.

Traditional publishing can leave strong manuscripts behind for reasons that have little to do with the quality of the work — market fit, platform size, category pressure, timing, or sales expectations. We built this press to make room for authors and books that deserve a closer read.

We are a small press by design. That means every author receives direct attention, every book matters to us personally, and every title is handled with care from review through publication.

The name comes from the image of a cabin in the woods: quiet, grounded, lit from within, and built for the kind of work that takes time. It is a place where difficult things can be said clearly and where meaningful stories can take shape.

The List

What We Publish

A broad list with a clear editorial center. We publish across multiple categories, but the list is not random — we are drawn to books with a defined voice, a clear audience, and a reason to be in print.

Memoir & Personal Narrative

Lives told honestly

Personal stories told with honesty, specificity, and care — the family stories, survival stories, and the complicated truth of lived experience.

Nonfiction & Hard Truth

The record, set straight

Narrative nonfiction, social commentary, investigative work, and documented accounts that bring clarity to difficult subjects.

Children's & Picture Books

Stories that grow with readers

Books for young readers with imagination, emotional honesty, memorable characters, and room for children to see themselves.

Fiction, Poetry & Literary Works

Voices with a reason to exist

Novels, short fiction, poetry, and hybrid work with atmosphere, emotional stakes, craft, and a distinct point of view.

Our Values

What We Stand For

Truth with care

We do not ask authors to sand the truth down until it becomes harmless. We do expect work handled with craft, responsibility, and respect for the reader.

Author-owned copyright

Authors retain the copyright to their work. We publish under a written royalty agreement, and terms are discussed directly before anything goes to print.

Direct access

No agent is required. No publishing résumé is required. No existing platform is required. We review the work itself.

Quality that respects the book

Small press does not mean low standards. Each title is edited, designed, produced, and distributed with attention to the story, the author, and the reader.

Where We Come From

Eshom Cabin Press is proudly based in Oklahoma. The press is shaped by plain speech, honest work, and the belief that people should take care with the things entrusted to them.

That ethos runs through how we review submissions, work with authors, design books, package orders, and communicate with readers.

Every physical order ships from the United States with tracking, and every message is answered by a real person.

Who Runs This Press

The Founder

Bobby Tracy-Blunk, founder of Eshom Cabin Press
Bobby Tracy-Blunk
Founder · Oklahoma, USA

Eshom Cabin Press was founded by Bobby Tracy-Blunk from the belief that authors deserve more than silence, form letters, and distant publishing processes. The name comes from the Eshom Valley cabin his family had while he was growing up, a place tied to meaningful memories and the grounded values the press was built to carry forward.

Bobby brings experience in writing, graphic design, web design, and independent book production to the press, giving authors a more direct and collaborative path from manuscript to finished book.

The press is built around a simple principle: authors should know who is reading their work, who is discussing their contract, who is shaping the book, and who is helping bring it to readers.

Every manuscript is reviewed directly. Every contract conversation is handled in writing. From editing and cover design to production, distribution, marketing, and post-publication support, the relationship remains personal and hands-on. No layers between the author and the press. No middlemen between the press and the book.
