Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or place an order.

Who We Are
Eshom Cabin Press is an independent publisher based in Oklahoma, USA. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or place an order.
Information We Collect
When you place an order or sign up for our mailing list, we may collect:
- Name and email address
- Shipping address (for physical orders)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details)
- Order history and preferences
Third-Party Services
Stripe — All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Print-on-Demand & Fulfillment — Some physical orders may be fulfilled through a third-party print-on-demand partner (such as IngramSpark). Merchandise (apparel, plush, and similar items) is fulfilled through Spreadconnect. In these cases, your shipping name and address are shared with the fulfillment provider solely to produce and ship your order. They are not permitted to use your information for any other purpose.
Spam Protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) — Several of our forms — including contact, manuscript submissions, reviews, and new-release notifications — use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish human visitors from automated bots. When you submit one of these forms, Cloudflare processes limited technical information (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) and may set a verification cookie. See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Site Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — Alongside Google Analytics (described under Cookies below), we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate site performance and traffic. It is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not store any data on your device, and does not fingerprint you or track you across other websites. It collects only aggregate, anonymous measurements (such as page views and page-load times). See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
How We Use Your Information
- To fulfill and ship your orders
- To send order confirmations and shipping updates
- To send our newsletter (only if you subscribed; opt-out any time)
- To respond to your inquiries
- To improve our website and services
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Period. Your information is used only to serve you as a customer.
Cookies
This site uses two categories of cookies:
Essential cookies — Required for the shopping cart, checkout session, and payment security. This includes a session cookie (PHPSESSID) used to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery, and cookies set by Stripe for payment processing. Forms protected by bot detection may also set a short-lived Cloudflare Turnstile cookie to verify the request is human. These are always active and cannot be disabled without breaking core site functionality.
Analytics cookies — We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, where traffic comes from, and how long people stay. This helps us improve the site and understand our readers. No advertising networks or ad targeting are involved. You can decline analytics cookies via the cookie notice when you first visit the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics (see Third-Party Services above), which is cookieless — it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it is not affected by the cookie choice above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies of any kind.
Browser Storage
In addition to cookies, your browser stores a small amount of data locally on your device (using localStorage). This data never leaves your browser unless we explicitly tell you (for example, when you submit a contact form or place an order). It is used to:
- Remember the items in your shopping cart between visits
- Remember which promo codes and popups you've already seen
- Remember any editable site-content overrides we've published
- Remember whether you've subscribed to our reader list (so we don't ask twice)
If you provide your email address (for example, by signing up for our newsletter or starting a checkout), we may also store that email locally in your browser so we can remind you about items left in your cart if you don't complete the purchase. We send up to two reminder emails per abandoned cart: a brief reminder after about 30 minutes of inactivity, and a follow-up roughly 24 hours later that includes a one-time discount code and a personal "resume cart" link. Each email address gets at most one of each type per cart.
To support the 24-hour follow-up, we keep a temporary copy of your email address and the items in your cart on our server until the recovery email is sent. The record is then retained for a short period to prevent repeat emails, after which it is automatically deleted (rolling 30-day purge). One-time discount codes generated for the follow-up are locked to your email address — they only apply at checkout if you use the same email the code was sent to.
You can clear the browser-side data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain. To remove the server-side cart copy sooner than the automatic purge, contact us via the Contact page.
None of this browser-stored or server-stored data is shared with third parties.
