What We Consider

- Investigative or documentary nonfiction
- Fiction and literary work
- Poetry and hybrid work
- Children's books and picture books
We are most interested in manuscripts with a clear voice, a defined audience, emotional or intellectual weight, and a reason to be in print.
What We Are Not Looking For
- AI-generated manuscripts without meaningful human authorship
- Plagiarized or copied work
- Hate content, or work built primarily to demean protected groups
- Submissions without author contact information
- Unfinished concepts with no sample pages or manuscript material
- Projects where the author does not own or control the rights

Review process
Every submission is reviewed by Eshom Cabin Press. Our typical review window is 6–12 weeks.
If we are interested, we may request additional material, schedule a conversation, or discuss next steps in writing.
If we decline, we may not be able to provide detailed editorial feedback. A declined manuscript does not mean the work lacks value. It means it is not the right fit for our current list.
Rights, royalties, and fees
Authors retain the copyright to their work.
Publishing terms, royalty rates, formats, rights, and responsibilities are discussed directly and confirmed in writing before publication.
